Holiday 2017 Comparisons - Zoya Danielle (Party Girls) - Part 2

From left to right: Matilda (Midsummer Light, June 2016), Avenue Maintain (Madison Ave-Hue, Spring 2013), Super Trop-i-cal-i-fiji-istic (Fiji, Spring 2017), Sia (Focus, Autumn 2015), Indie (In the Mix, Autumn 2015), Danielle, I Know What Boys Like (Summer 2011), Sailor (Cashmeres, Autumn 2013), Natty (Designer, Autumn 2012), Mirajane (Ultrabrites, Summer 2016), Octavia (Dramatic, February 2014), Arielle (New York Never Sleeps, October 2015)

Danielle is quite close to my rather sorry-looking bottle of Indie, it’s just a bit lighter, and I Know What Boys Like, it’s just a bit brighter.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - Zoya Danielle (Party Girls) - Part 1

From left to right: As If (As If, Autumn 2017), Route 66 (Desert Valley, Autumn 2015), My Boyfriend’s Back (Happy Days, Summer 2016), Sara (Kisses, London, September 2015), Danielle, Queen B (Autumn Nights, Autumn 2013), Born to Rule (Street Regal, Autumn 2013), Blue Suede (Velvet Dream, Autumn 2013), Less is Norse (Autumn 2017), Smoke Gets in Your Eyes (After Midnight, Autumn 2016), Hadley (Sophisticates, Autumn 2017), Cynthia (Smoke, Autumn 2011)

The only thing really close to Danielle here is Queen B, which is still a lot darker.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - Zoya Landon (Party Girls) - Part 2

From left to right: I Manicure for Beads (New Orleans, Spring 2016), Hello Hawaii Ya (Hawaii, Spring 2015), All Aboard (All Aboard, Autumn 2014), Shade On (Lounge Lover, Spring 2016), Mira (Summertime, Summer 2011), Sylvia (Garden Party, August 2013), Grape Pop (Up & Away, Spring 2010), Mix and Mingle (Cheers! Holiday 2015), Landon, Tara (Urban Grunge, Autumn 2016), Monica (Designer, Autumn 2012), A Grape Affair (Coca Cola, Summer 2014), Crown Velvet (Her Majesty, Holiday 2016)

Now, my tastes for the most part err towards cooler toned purples like Mora or Mix and Mingle, so the only thing here that comes close is Tara, which is darker and more berry toned. I Manicure for Beads way over on the left is too bright and everything else is too cool.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - Zoya Landon (Party Girls) - Part 1

From left to right: Tina (Charming, Spring 2017), Lois (Wanderlust, Summer 2017), After the Glow (Sunrise Sunset, Summer 2017), Audrina (Gossip, Summer 2008), Pamplona Purple (Spain, Autumn 2009), Landon, Dawn of a New Reign (Street Regal, Autumn 2017), Purple Haze (Star Power, Autumn 2017), O Suzi Mio (Venice, Autumn 2015), Margarita (Black Magic, August 2014), Karina (Neon Nights, July 2017), Queen B (Autumn Nights, Autumn 2013), All Access Pass (Neons 2015)

Landon is sort of on the bridge between the light purples and the dark purples here. It errs towards the lights but it is the darkest. I think if you dropped a bit of Dawn of a New Reign into Pamplona Purple you’d get Landon.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - Zoya Kelsey (Party Girls) - Part 2

From left to right: Laurel (Petals, Spring 2016), Delhi Dance (Going Guru, Resort 2016), Beauty School Dropout (Happy Days, Summer 2016), Shelby (Beach, Summer 2012), Eden (Delight, Spring 2015), Jolene (Flash, Summer 2010), Randi (Paradise, April 2015), Kelsey, Brynn (Sunsets, Summer 2016), Whitney (Gossip, Summer 2008), Mallory (Into the Sea, July 2016), Rich & Famous (Monte Carlo, Spring 2004), Layla (Classics), Hey Baby (Gwen Stefani, Spring 2014), Apartment for Two (Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Holiday 2016), Morgan (Classics), Risky Behavior (Adrenaline Rush, Summer 2015)

The stuff on either end is way off but the stuff in the middle is super close. Surprisingly, Kelsey’s two closest relatives here, Brynn and Whitney, are both also Zoyas.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - Zoya Kelsey (Party Girls) - Part 1

From left to right: Jordan (Charming, Spring 2017), Belle of a Baller (Pastels, Spring 2017), Malibu Pier Pressure (California Dreaming, Summer 2017), Kiss Me I’m Brazilian (Brazil, Spring 2014), Winnie (Wanderlust, Summer 2017), Elephantastic Pink (India, Spring 2008), Kelsey, Dusk and Summer (Sunrise Sunset, Summer 2017)

The only thing in this lot that even comes close to comparing is Dusk and Summer, which is just a hair darker.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - Zoya Ming & Sheri (Party Girls) - Part 2

From left to right: America (La-Di-Da, Summer 2009), Lollipop (Sweet Time of Year, Holiday 2009), Hannah (Focus, Autumn 2015), Gweneth (Classics), Hey Sailor (Anchors Away, Spring 2011), Salsa (Core), Ming, Big Apple Red (New York, Autumn 2000), Strawberry Fields Forever (Very Berry, Autumn 2016), Carmen (Classics), Renee (Redbook Trio, Holiday 2015), Love is in My Cards (Starlight, Holiday 2015), Asia (Vibe, Autumn 2008), Myrtle (Set the Stage, May 2013), Cranberry Kiss (Very Berry, Autumn 2016), Reign of Love (Her Majesty, Holiday 2016), Sheri, Rekha (Designer, Autumn 2012), Party on a Platform (Getting Groovy, Holiday 2016), China Rouge (X Anniversary, Autumn 2007), Meghan (Modern Smolder, February 2016)

Enjoy, just enjoy.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - Zoya Ming & Sheri (Party Girls) - Part 1

From left to right: Dita (La-Di-Da, Summer 2009), Living Legend (Gala Bolds, Summer 2017), Queen of Speed (Fast Lane), Fran (Bask in the Heat, June 2017), Little Red Corvette (Lady in Red, Autumn 2017), Ming, Better Off Red (Lady in Red, Autumn 2017), Man of the Moment, Sheri, Lady is a Tramp (Core), Just Bitten (Velvet Dream, Autumn 2017), Demi (December 2011)

Dita is too cool, Living Legend, Queen of Speed, and Fran are too light and bright, and Just Bitten and Demi are too dark to even come close. The closest thing I have to each here is Little Red Corvette to Ming and Man of the Moment to Sheri.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - Essie Gel Couture Jade to Measure vs Essie Jade in Manhattan

Comparison with Jade in Manhattan (Oil Slick, Summer 2016) – I thought these were closer. I was wrong. I guess I just thought they'd be more similar because they both have Jade in the name.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - Essie Gel Couture Jade to Measure (Gel Couture Holiday 2017) - Part 2

From left to right: Agro (Hunger Games, Spring 2012), My Gecko Does Tricks (Hawaii, Spring 2015), Rikki (Irresistible, Summer 2013), Gemini (Zodiac, June 2016), I’ll Take Manhattan (New York Marquee, Autumn 2014), Jade to Measure, All Hands on Deck (Shimmer Brights, Summer 2016), Giovanna (Satins, Autumn 2013), Cher (Emerald for May, May 2015), Running in Circles (Cirque Du Soleil, Holiday 2012), Priscilla (Emerald for May, May 2014), If I Ruled the World (Her Majesty, Holiday 2016), Mercer (Sparkling Sights, Holiday 2016), Laughin to the Bank (Jewel Heist, Autumn 2013), Cuckoo for this Color (Swiss, Autumn 2010), Emerald Fitzgerald (Vintage Vixen, Autumn 2010)

Nothing really is that close to Jade to Measure – it’s darker and less chrome-y than I’ll Take Manhattan, darker than All Hands on Deck and warmer than Giovanna.

Comparison with Jade in Manhattan (Oil Slick, Summer 2016) – I thought these were closer. I was wrong.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - Essie Gel Couture Jade to Measure (Gel Couture Holiday 2017) - Part 1

From left to right: Lacey (Charming, Spring 2017), Tammi (Wanderlust, August 2014), Becca (Set Sail, May 2015), Tongue & Chic (Autumn Nights, Autumn 2013), Rule Breaker (Wild at Heart, Autumn 2009), Standing Ovation (A Night at the Opera, Autumn 2013), Jade to Measure, Outta Bounds (Ski, Holiday 2007), Baroque Jungle (Street Regal, Autumn 2017), Tabitha (Sophisticates, Autumn 2017)

Jade to Measure is interesting in that it’s a green metallic that’s not teal, which most of my other metallics are either light or they’re teal. Outta Bounds comes closest but it’s too cool.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - OPI Top the Package with a Beau (Love OPI XOXO) - Part 2

From left to right: Lydia (Kisses London, September 2015), Live and Let Die (Skyfall, Holiday 2012), Choo-Choo Choose You (All Aboard, Autumn 2014), Scorpio (Zodiac, November 2016), Rich & Brazilian (Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Holiday 2016), All Night Long (After Midnight Sephora Exclusive, Autumn 2016), Top the Package with a Beau, Lug Your Designer Baggage (All Aboard, Autumn 2014), Virginia (All Night Long, December 2015)

Top the Package with a Beau is a kind of like a darker version of Lug Your Designer Baggage, the finishes are actually quite similar. It’s like Lug Your Designer Baggage by way of Rich & Brazilian.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - OPI Top the Package with a Beau (Love OPI XOXO) - Part 1

From left to right: Life’s Grimm (Happily Never After, Autumn 2017), Chain Reaction (Rock This Town, Holiday 2012), Fawn (Moonlit Magic, Holiday 2016), Top the Package with a Beau, With Abandon (Wild at Heart, Autumn 2009), Candace (Cityscape, September 2013), Songbird Serenade (My Little Pony, Summer 2017), Rendezvous with You (Autumn Nights, Autumn 2013)

Nothing here is quite as cool toned as Top the Package with a Beau. Life’s Grimm and Chain Reaction are more green, Fawn is too chunky glitter, With Abandon and Candace are close but warmer, Songbird Serenade is too pink and Rendezvous with you is too purple.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - OPI Coalmates (Love OPI XOXO) - Part 2

From left to right: Yuna (Ignite, Autumn 2014), Lubu Heels (The Perfect Pair, Autumn 2007), Haute Tub (Virgin Snow, Holiday 2015), Smoke and Ashes (Hunger Games, Spring 2012), Michaela (New York Never Sleeps, October 2015), Frenemy (Infamous, Holiday 2015), Frock ‘n’ Roll (Leggy Legend, Autumn 2015), Coalmates, Ebony (Dark and Stormy Nights, October 2016), Rosario (Celestial Cheer, Holiday 2016), My Private Jet (originally from Night Brights, Summer 2007), Bernadette (Black Onyx for February, February 2015), Dahlia (Spring Pixiedust, Spring 2013)

Again, nothing is exactly like Coalmates. Ebony comes closest but it’s more brown and the holo is more apparent.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - OPI Coalmates (Love OPI XOXO) - Part 1

From left to right: Moon Dance (Rock This Town, Holiday 2012), Songbird Serenade (My Little Pony, Summer 2017), Life’s Grimm (Happily Never After, Autumn 2017), Black Magic Woman (Star Power Sephora Exclusive, Autumn 2017), Brandy (Night Lights Mystery Box, October 2015), Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous (Swiss, Autumn 2010), Coalmates, After Hours (Dance to the Musique, Autumn 2008), Show Time (In True Fashion, Autumn 2012), Nancy (Black Magic, October 2014), Totally in the Dark (Spring 2013), Trixy, Dot, Ariel, & Marlise (all from Trancing in the Moonlight, October 2017)

Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous is a close cousin to Coalmates if it didn’t have the holo. Brandy and Black Magic Woman are the closest holos but they’re distinctly grayer.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - OPI Ornament to Be Together (Love OPI XOXO) - Part 2

From left to right: Happy Anniversary (25th Anniversary, Autumn 2006), Judy (All Night Long, December 2015), Five-and-Ten (Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Holiday 2016), Brenda (Naughty or Nice Mystery Box, December 2013), The Ten Man (Wizard of Ooh Ahz Returns, Holiday 2009), Roselyn (This Way to the Soiree, December 2016), Seraphina (Zenith, Holiday 2013), Centennial Celebration (Coca Cola Icons of Happiness, Summer 2015), Alicia (Urban Grunge, Autumn 2016), Ornament to Be Together, I Drive a Supernova (Starlight, Holiday 2015), Trixie (Extreme, Summer 2004), Missy (Rebel Set, October 2013), By the Light of the Moon (Starlight, Holiday 2015), Icicle (Let it Snow, Holiday 2011), Haven’t the Foggiest (San Francisco, Autumn 2013), Cassedy (Zenith, Holiday 2013), Jitterbug (Vintage Vixen, Autumn 2010)
If you mixed the holo of Alicia into the silver foil of I Drive a Supernova you’d get Ornament to Be Together. As it stands nothing else is close to Ornament.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - OPI Ornament to Be Together (Love OPI XOXO) - Part 1

From left to right: Fashion Faceoff (Gala Bolds, Summer 2017), Chroma Cool (Summer Reign, Summer 2017), Wow (Star Power, Autumn 2017), Gossip Over Gimlets (Autumn Nights, Autumn 2013), Ornament to be Together, Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous (Swiss, Autumn 2010), Moon Dance (Rock this Town, Holiday 2012), Show Time (In True Fashion, Autumn 2012), S’il Vous Play (S’il Vous Play, Summer 2017), Amira (Charming, Spring 2017)
Nothing else here has Ornament to be Together’s unique formula. Closest is Gossip Over Gimlets which is a lot more Champagne and lacks that little speck of holo.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - OPI Feel the Chemis-tree (Love OPI XOXO) - Part 2

From left to right: Joss (New Year New Look, January 2016), Purple with a Purpose (Brights, Summer 2005), Vampsterdam (Holland, Spring 2012), I’m in the Moon for Love (Starlight, Holiday 2015), Rochelle (Countdown, December 2014), Beautiful Disaster (Mash-Up, Summer 2013), Hope (Core), Purple Fiction (Rebel, Autumn 2016), Stella (Retro Diva, Autumn 2009), Haven (Wishes, Holiday 2014), Feel the Chemis-tree, Yasmeen (Provocateur, Summer 2006), Giada (Flair, Autumn 2015), Thess (Luminous Lights, Holiday 2016), Belinda (Zenith, Holiday 2013), Sexy Divide (Winter 2008), Mariah (New Year New Look, January 2016)

Feel the Chemistree is quite similar to Zoya’s beloved Yasmeen, close enough you don’t need both. Stella and Haven are also in the same boat.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - OPI Feel the Chemis-Tree (Love OPI XOXO) - Part 1

From left to right: Delia (Diamonds Forever, November 2016), Venus was Her Name, Della (Cozy in Love, February 2017), Glamcore (Street Regal, Autumn 2017), Prima Donna (A Night at the Opera, Autumn 2013), I Carol About You (Gwen Stefani Holiday, Holiday 2014), Patricia (Naughty or Nice Mystery Box, December 2014), Feel the Chemis-tree, Opening Night (A Night at the Opera, Autumn 2013), Dora (Stroke of Midnight Mystery Box, December 2016), Millie (Charming, Spring 2017)

Actually, Feel the Chemistree is almost dead on with Julep Patricia, it’s a bit darker but otherwise they’re really close. I Carol About You is in the same family but it’s more of a purple crème with pink shimmer. Opening Night has a similar color palette but it’s got a quite different finish.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - OPI Sending You Holiday Hugs (Love OPI XOXO) - Part 2

From left to right: Bend Over Backwards (Cirque Du Soleil, Holiday 2012), Red Pearl (X Anniversary, Autumn 2007), New York State of Mind (Celebration, Holiday 2014), Cranberry Splash (Holiday Joy, Holiday 2012), An Affair in Red Square (Russian, Autumn 2007), Reel Him In (Truth or Dare, Autumn 2005), Iman (Ruby for July, July 2015), Scarlett O’Hara, Isla (Truth, Autumn 2009), Sending You Holiday Hugs, I’m Not Really a Waitress (Hollywood, Autumn 1999), Bogota Blackberry (Autumn 1992), Skate Night & Thunderbird (Retro Diva, Autumn 2009), Define Good… (Twinkle, Holiday 2014), Heart of Africa (African Safari, Autumn 2001), Short & Sassy (Retro Diva, Autumn 2009)

Holiday Hugs looks oddly cool-toned in the pictures, which it isn’t really in real life. Holiday Hugs’ gold shimmer won’t come out to play, but it makes it similar to the classic I’m Not Really a Waitress. Scarlett O’Hara, Isla, and Bogota Blackberry are also in the same neighborhood.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - OPI Sending You Holiday Hugs (Love OPI XOXO) - Part 1

From left to right: Some Like It Hot, Color to Diner For (Touring America, Autumn 2011), Danke-Shiny Red (Germany, Autumn 2012), Velvet Rope (Dance to the Musique, Autumn 2008), Sending You Holiday Hugs, After Sex (Luscious, Autumn 2004), Chasing Rubies (Lady in Red, Autumn 2017), Shall We Dance, Red-y & Willing (Autumn Nights, Autumn 2013), Royal Pain in the Ascot (Street Regal, Autumn 2017), Cinderella Red, Sassy Satchel (Autumn 2006)

If you’re as diligent a collector of red metallics as I am, you already have Holiday Hugs. After Sex, Chasing Rubies, and Shall We Dance are the closest. Velvet Rope shares Holiday Hugs’ gold shimmer but the finish is slightly different.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - OPI The Color that Keeps on Giving (Love OPI XOXO) - Part 2

From left to right: Laurel (Petals, Spring 2016), Rainbow (China Rain, Summer 2001), Chantilly Lace (Whisper, Spring 2015), Wanderlust (Road Trip, Spring 2015), Libra (Zodiac, October 2016), Seashell (Core), Temptation Carnation (Bali Bliss), Bikini with a Martini (here from Retro Revival, Winter 2016), Cancer (Zodiac, July 2016), The Color that Keeps on Giving, Pussy Galore (Bond Girls, Summer 2013), Oh Behave! (Getting Groovy, Holiday 2016), Geena (Rose Quartz for January 2015), Good Witch? (Wizard of Ooh Ahz Returns, Winter 2009), Jetstream (Core), Hayden (Smitten, Summer 2007), Pink Lemonade (Core)

The first polish I thought of when I saw The Color that Keeps on Giving was actually the Liquid Sand Pussy Galore, which is actually really close except for the textured finish. Closest in finish is Oh Behave, which is a bit darker. Cancer is closer in color but different in finish.
