Holiday 2017 Comparisons - OPI The Color that Keeps on Giving (Love OPI XOXO) - Part 2

From left to right: Laurel (Petals, Spring 2016), Rainbow (China Rain, Summer 2001), Chantilly Lace (Whisper, Spring 2015), Wanderlust (Road Trip, Spring 2015), Libra (Zodiac, October 2016), Seashell (Core), Temptation Carnation (Bali Bliss), Bikini with a Martini (here from Retro Revival, Winter 2016), Cancer (Zodiac, July 2016), The Color that Keeps on Giving, Pussy Galore (Bond Girls, Summer 2013), Oh Behave! (Getting Groovy, Holiday 2016), Geena (Rose Quartz for January 2015), Good Witch? (Wizard of Ooh Ahz Returns, Winter 2009), Jetstream (Core), Hayden (Smitten, Summer 2007), Pink Lemonade (Core)

The first polish I thought of when I saw The Color that Keeps on Giving was actually the Liquid Sand Pussy Galore, which is actually really close except for the textured finish. Closest in finish is Oh Behave, which is a bit darker. Cancer is closer in color but different in finish.

Summer 2017 Comparisons - Essie Fondant of You (S'il Vous Play)

From left to right: Opal Hope (Year in Rocks, Autumn 2004), Oh Behave (Getting Groovy, Holiday 2016), Zahara (Petals, Spring 2016), Summer (Rainbow Bright, May 2016), Fondant of You, Sexy Plunge (Aim to Misbehave/Shimmer Brights, Summer 2016), Ginger (Classics), Free Love (Retro Diva, Autumn 2009), Annie (Chit-Chat, Summer 2008), Bright Lights - Big Color (Brights, Summer 2005), Coral Star (Core), I Eat Maine-ly Lobster (Touring America, Autumn 2011), Cherry Bomb (Core)

Fondant of You is the lighter version of Sexy Plunge, but I’d say you don’t need both. The other one I’d say Fondant of You is close enough to you don’t need both of is Summer.

Essie Bridal Comparisons - Blush-Worthy

I wish I got Julep Tasha last holiday, I think that would be really close to Blush-Worthy, instead I have her darker sister Sylvie instead. Just imagine Sylvie more of a melon color and you have Tasha, which I think would be reasonably close.

From left to right: Just Stitched (Cashmere Mattes, Spring 2015), Breakfast at Tiffany’s (Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Holiday 2016), Lara (Spring to It, March 2017), Girly (Core), Erika (Chit-Chat, Summer 2008), Blush-Worthy, Princesses Rule! (Princess Charming, Spring 2006), Oh Behave (Getting Groovy, Holiday 2016), Good Witch? (Wizard of Ooh Ahz Returns, Holiday 2009), Chloe (Fleck Effect, Spring 2012), Sylvie (Gem Collection Holiday 2015), Harper (Bubbly, Summer 2014)

Erika is pretty close, it’s sheerer though and lacks Blush-Worthy’s larger flakies. I think if you mixed some of Chloe into Erika you’d have Blush-Worthy. Princesses Rule is in the same family but it’s not the same shade of pink and it’s sheerer.

Spring 2017 Comarisons - China Glaze Moment in the Sunset (Spring Fling)

From left to right: Girly (Core), Oh Behave! (Getting Groovy, Holiday 2016), Moment in the Sunset, Lily (Romantic Collection), Bikini with a Martini (here from Retro Revival, Winter 2016), Summer (Endless Summer, August 2016), Tinsley (Irresistible, Summer 2013)

Summer is way orange and Tinsley is A) a foil B) darker and C) more gold. Girly is too light to really compare. Although I originally thought Moment in the Sunset and Oh Behave were dead on dupes, Moment is much more pink while Oh Behave is peachy. Oldie but goodie Lily is a similar shade of pink but it has green shimmer running through it instead of gold. Bikini is likewise a similar shade of pink but lacking the gold as well.

Holiday 2016 Comparisons - Essie Oh Behave! (Getting Groovy)

Note: I have a really close comparison for this in the Spring 2017 comparisons, stay tuned for that.

From left to right: Erika (Chit-Chat, Summer 2008), Chantilly Peach (Core Collection), Cancer (Zodiac, July 2016), Cozu-Melted in the Sun (Mexico, Spring 2006), Tinsley (Irresistible, Summer 2013), Awakening (Pure Platinum, 2000)

Awakening is way darker and more purple, but I thought it was worth comparing. They’re made with the same idea in mind. Tinsley is very much a foil, the gold particles are the most distinct in Tinsley; also it’s darker pink. Erika is not as white in person, but it is lighter and the shimmer is more distinctly gold while Oh Behave is more duochrome-y. Chantilly Peach is a similar base, but it’s just a frost and doesn’t have any real shimmer like Oh Behave. Cancer is a little lighter and a little blingier. Cozu-Melted is by far the closest thing here, but it’s a little darker and the shimmer is silverier.
