Holiday 2017 Comparisons - Essie Gel Couture Jade to Measure (Gel Couture Holiday 2017) - Part 2

From left to right: Agro (Hunger Games, Spring 2012), My Gecko Does Tricks (Hawaii, Spring 2015), Rikki (Irresistible, Summer 2013), Gemini (Zodiac, June 2016), I’ll Take Manhattan (New York Marquee, Autumn 2014), Jade to Measure, All Hands on Deck (Shimmer Brights, Summer 2016), Giovanna (Satins, Autumn 2013), Cher (Emerald for May, May 2015), Running in Circles (Cirque Du Soleil, Holiday 2012), Priscilla (Emerald for May, May 2014), If I Ruled the World (Her Majesty, Holiday 2016), Mercer (Sparkling Sights, Holiday 2016), Laughin to the Bank (Jewel Heist, Autumn 2013), Cuckoo for this Color (Swiss, Autumn 2010), Emerald Fitzgerald (Vintage Vixen, Autumn 2010)

Nothing really is that close to Jade to Measure – it’s darker and less chrome-y than I’ll Take Manhattan, darker than All Hands on Deck and warmer than Giovanna.

Comparison with Jade in Manhattan (Oil Slick, Summer 2016) – I thought these were closer. I was wrong.

Autumn 2017 Comparisons - Zoya Tabitha (Sophisticates) - Part 2

From left to right: Giovanna (Satins, Autumn 2013), If I Ruled the World (Her Majesty, Holiday 2016), Laughin’ to the Bank (Jewel Heist, Autumn 2013), Mercer (Sparkling Sights, Holiday 2016), Blowin’ Money Fast, British Racing Green (Autumn 2009), Tabitha, Krystle (Dark and Stormy Nights, October 2016), Cuckoo for this Color (Swiss, Autumn 2010), Capricorn (Zodiac, December 2016), Hunter (Cashmeres, Autumn 2013)

Again, Tabitha is one of the only things here that isn’t even slightly teal. The closest thing I have is Krystle, which is also more blue and the shimmer is different. British Racing Green is pretty close too, but the shimmer is blue instead of silver. Hunter is a fairly close crème version but it’s a bit warmer.

Autumn 2017 Comparisons - China Glaze Baroque Jungle (Street Regal)

From left to right: Giovanna (Satins, Autumn 2013), Rule Breaker (Wild at Heart, Autumn 2009), Laughin to the Bank (Jewel Heist, Autumn 2013), Mercer (Sparkling Sights, Holiday 2016), If I Ruled the World (Her Majesty, Holiday 2016), Capricorn (Zodiac, December 2016), Standing Ovation (A Night at the Opera, Autumn 2013), Baroque Jungle, British Racing Green (Spring 2011), Tongue & Chic (Autumn Nights, Autumn 2013), Emerald Fitzgerald (Vintage Vixen, Autumn 2010), Cuckoo for this Color (Swiss, Autumn 2010)

Baroque Jungle is a lot like an old fave of mine British Racing Green, almost dead on in fact although Baroque Jungle is more teal. It’s less metallic than a lot of the other polishes here, which makes it pretty unique.

China Glaze Rebel Comparisons - Jagged Little Teal

Now, unfortunately, my bottle of OPI CIA = Color is Awesome is gone. Strangely, it might have been the only thing really close to Jagged Little Teal.

From left to right: Ruffles & Feathers (Colors in the Wild, Summer 2014), My Way or the Highway (Road Trip, Spring 2015), Poolside Service (Lounge Lover, Spring 2016), Flyin’ High (Up & Away, Spring 2010), Becca (Set Sail, May 2015), Lizanne (Riviera, March 2014), Amazon…Amazoff (Brazil, Spring 2014), Jagged Little Teal, Strike a Pose (Dressed to the Nines, Holiday 2015), Cuckoo for this Color (Swiss, Autumn 2010), Off Tropic (Lounge Lover, Spring 2016)

Amazon…Amazoff is greener, and Strike a Pose is darker, but they’re both pretty close. I don’t know why I thought Ruffles & Feathers was even kind of close.

Holiday 2016 Comparisons: Deborah Lippmann If I Ruled the World (Her Majesty)

Oh man, these are all so close…

From left to right: Giovanna (Satins, Autumn 2013), Rule Breaker (Wild at Heart, Autumn ’09), Laughin’ to the Bank (Jewel Heist, Autumn ’13), If I Ruled the World, Mercer (Sparkling Sights, Holiday 2016), Blowin’ Money Fast, Standing Ovation (A Night at the Opera, Autumn 2013), Capricorn (Zodiac, December 2016), British Racing Green (Autumn 2009), Cuckoo for this Color (Swiss, Autumn 2010), Emerald Fitzgerald (Autumn 2010)

Oh man, IIRtW and LttB are really, really close. I’m surprised! Well, IIRtW is a tiny bit darker, but they’re awful close. If you’ve been excited about IIRtW thinking it was a new exciting Lippmann green, prepare to be disappointed. Mercer is also really, really close too. Definitely don’t need them all. Now, Giovanna is distinctly teal and the lightest of the set, Rule Breaker the second lightest. Cuckoo and Fitzgerald (very close to each other) are likewise way darker. BRG is the only one that’s not a true metallic, rather it’s a crème with green shimmer in it, but that said the finished look is rather similar to IIRtW. Capricorn has a lot of silver glitter and Standing Ovation has a strong blue duochrome. BMF is a bit cooler toned. That said, except for Giovanna these all look pretty similar. That said again, if you’re a massive green hoarder you’ll probably enjoy all of these!

Close up: Rule Breaker, Laughin' to the Bank, If I Ruled the World, Blowin' Money Fast
