Summer 2017 Comparisons - China Glaze I Truly Azure You (Summer Reign)

The only thing completely out of place here is So Blue without You, but everything else is reasonably close, although Flyin’ High, DJ Blue My Mind, and Talia are crèmes. I Truly Azure You is in between Sea You Soon and Tallulah. I assumed it was going to be closer to the new Sea You Soon, but it’s actually closer to Tallulah, both in base color and shimmer.

Summer 2017 Comparisons - Orly Sea You Soon (Coastal Crush)

Now, I don’t have Orly Skinny Dip, but I think they’re pretty close. I want to say Skinny Dip is a neon and Sea You Soon isn’t, and Sea You Soon’s shimmer is more apparent.

Also, I accidentally grabbed Essie Melody Maker instead of Essie Viva Antigua, but Viva Antigua, like Melody Maker, is so vastly different than Sea You Soon I didn’t bother to take new photos.

I thought you guys would like to see Royal Navy, but they’re obviously different. It is kind of the lighter version of the same idea, though, and I think they’d be a cute combo. Do You Sea and Emily are also way darker. Rebel’s shimmer is way different and it’s super light. Tallulah and Teal the Cows are darker and What I Like About Blue is lighter, but they’re all closer. I have nothing exactly like Sea You Soon, but we’ll just have to wait and see once I compare it to I Truly Azure You!

Spring 2017 Comparisons - OPI Do You Sea What I Sea (Fiji)

Liza and Rayne are super light, although Liza has a similar pink flash. It’s like Do You Sea What I Sea light. Saint is also a lighter version of Do You Sea What I Sea, and the shimmer is more of a pearl than Sea’s micro glitter. Melodrama is way too dark, as are December to Remember, Dorothy Who, and Beauty & the Beach, not to mention their shimmers are all different and except for Melodrama and December to Remember lack the pink/purple shimmer. Teal the Cows Come Home and Cliffhanger are similar but lighter and lack the duochrome, but are in the same ballpark. Aquarius is lighter and has more of a visible flash, but the formula is terrible. I had a hard time with the swatch stick for this one, let alone as a full manicure on the nails. Xanadu is also lighter but this one also has some larger blue glitters in it. Emily is by far the closest thing I have and it’s pretty close. They both have flecky shimmer that goes from blue to pink. However, they’re not the same flash – I can’t seem to get them both to flash pink at the same time – and Emily’s more opaque, and a little lighter. They’re really rather close though.

Watermelon Rind is a glass fleck, it’s a similar color, but not finish. Likewise I’ll Take Manhattan is a chrome and has a lot of silver and is still a little lighter. Teal the Cows has less green, Paulina and Emerald Empowered are darker. Rule Breaker is more green, Selene and Giovanna are brighter, and Trophy wife has less blue in it. Beauty & the Beach is by far the closest. It’s a bit more blue, but you don’t need both.

Holiday 2016 Comparsions - Zoya Saint (Enchanted)

Nothing I own is close to Saint in terms of how light it is. Everything here is either darker or brighter. The only thing I can think of that’s even kind of close is Orly Angel Rain, a polish I destashed a while ago. Angel Rain was never a favorite, but I’m thinking Saint might be everything I wanted in Angel Rain – it’s more opaque, a more flattering color on me, just all around better. As far as the polishes I have go, Teal the Cows is way brighter, Xanadu has blue glitter, December to Remember is way darker and isn’t a true duochrome but rather has little pink/gold duochrome flecks.

Holiday 2016 Comparisons - China Glaze Joy to the Waves (Seas and Greetings)

Blue with gold/green shimmer is a really unique combo, but I still have a couple of comparisons.

Joy to the Waves and Saint

I really wish I had Olivera, because I think Joy to the Waves is kind of a cross between Olivera and Saint. Because these two came out in the same season I gave them a special comparison. They’re both really cool blue duochromes, but Joy to the Waves is way darker and blue to green to gold, while Saint is way lighter and blue to pink to green. Definitely not dupes!

Indigo to the Gallery is a true chrome with a lot of silver in it, not gold. Miss Piggy’s Big Number is a classic blue shimmer that is a lot more purple. Come Rain or Shine is something of a sister polish, just A) pink instead of gold and B) much less shimmery. They’re different but if you like one you’ll like the other. This Color’s Making Waves is probably the closest I have, being my only other blue/green duochrome, but Making Waves is way more teal and has little orange glitter in it (trust me). Teal the Cows Come Home is way lighter, and silvery. Beauty & the Beach is green by comparison and not even kind of gold, but this is another one where if you like one you’ll like the other.
