- Missy (It Girl - Rebel Set, October 2013) is a dark silver foil. This isn’t your average bright silver foil like Zoya Trixie (The new Addi is Julep’s bright silver foil, I don’t have that one yet), it’s a bit more grayed. It’s an interesting take on a classic!
- Mona (Classic with a Twist - Boudoir, January 2015) is a dark gray creme. I love this one, it’s got an amazing formula and it’s so pretty! I think the new Imogen might be similar.
- Monique (Bombshell - Lighten Up, March 2016) is a warm silver metallic. Like Missy this is an interesting take on basic silver!
- Myriam (CWAT - Riviera, March 2014) is an orange jelly. This is a little dull but fine.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - Essie Social-Lights (Ring in the Bling) - Part 1
From
left to right: Ainsley (Cozy in Love, February 2017), Monique (Lighten Up,
March 2016), Beth (Sophisticates, Autumn 2017), Fashion Faceoff (Gala Bolds,
Summer 2017), Harley (Twist, Spring 2009), Social-Lights, Don’t Take Yosemite
For Granite (California Dreaming, Summer 2017), On the Wild Side (Wild at
Heart, Autumn 2009), Kiss My Glass (Autumn Nights, Autumn 2013), Haute &
Heavy (Street Regal, Autumn 2017)
Social-Lights
is the only thing here with that luscious gold shimmer in it. Harley has a
similar base color but the shimmer’s not even close.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - China Glaze Toast It Up and As Good as It Glitz (The Glam Finale) - Part 1
From left to right: Sweet Carmel Sunday (California Dreaming, Summer 2017), Best Ponies Forever (My Little Pony, Summer 2017), High Standards (Summer Reign, Summer 2017), Truth Is Gold (Street Regal, Autumn 2017), Toast It Up, Monique (Lighten Up, March 2016), Beth (Sophisticates, Autumn 2017), Magical (Romantiques, Spring 2009), As Good As It Glitz, To Have & To Gold (Bridal 2017), Reykjavik Has All the Hot Spots (Iceland, Autumn 2017), Fawne (Re-Cher-Che, Spring 2006)
Toast
It Up is the lightest of the four golds China Glaze has come out with this
year, and it comes close to Silken Quartz, Toast It Up is just a bit more gold
and a bit more glitzy while Silken Quartz is more subdued. As Good As it Glitz
is almost dead on a dupe to Magical, which I got on clearance over the summer
which makes me think that maybe they’re phasing out Magical for As Good As it
Glitz.

Autumn 2007), Seashell (Core)
Silken
Quartz is a lot like Zoya’s old Lauren, but Silken Quartz has a much thicker
formula. Wilma is a little darker.

Spring 2017 Comparisons - China Glaze It's A-Boat Time! (Spring Fling)
From
left to right: Cords (Retro Diva, Autumn 2009), Take a Right on Bourbon (New
Orleans, Spring 2016), Monique (Lighten Up, March 2016), Spun Sugar (Parfumerie,
Autumn 2013), It’s Totally Fort Worth It (Texas, Spring 2011), I’d Melt for You
(Twinkle, Holiday 2014), It’s A-Boat Time, Centennial Celebration (Coca Cola Icons
of Happiness, Summer 2015), Smoldering, Bad Moon Rising (Big Bang, Holiday
2013, full size a Nordstrom Exclusive, Spring 2015), Dorothy (Luminous Lights,
Holiday 2016), Closing Night (Ballet Nudes, Spring 2017), On the Wild Side
(Wild at Heart, Autumn 2009), Star Dust Memories, Rachael (Kisses, London,
September 2015)
There’s
a lot of green in It’s A-Boat Time that nothing else here has. I’d Melt for You
is very much a true silver without any green. Fort Worth It is the closest in
spirit, but it has a pink flash instead of green. It’s the pink version of
A-Boat Time. Spun Sugar, Monique, and Bourbon are similarly warm but less
green. Centennial Celebration is also very warm but it’s actually a silver and
gold foil instead of a metallic.
