Summer 2017 Comparisons - Orly Surfer Dude (Coastal Crush)

From left to right: Alexandria (Sun Crush, May 2017), Pool Party (Poolside, Summer 2010), Ablaze (Baked, Summer 2014), Life’s a Beach (Pacific Coast Highway, Summer 2016), Surfer Dude, Red-y to Rave (Electric Nights, Summer 2015), Hot Shot (High Voltage, Summer 2008), Fireball (Adrenaline Rush, Summer 2015), Cherry On Top (Kandee Johnson Vintage Matte, Spring 2017)

Alexandria and Cherry on Top are really mattes, not neons. Pool Party, Hot Shot, and Fireball are a lot more cool toned and redder. Ablaze and Life’s a Beach are more orange toned, but particularly Life’s a Beach is pretty close. Red-y to Rave and Surfer Dude are incredibly close, Red-y to Rave being a lot less saturated though. I think if you mixed Life’s a Beach and Red-y to Rave you’d get Surfer Dude!

Summer 2017 Comparisons - Deborah Lippmann Fire on the Horizon (Sunrise Sunset) - Part 1

This was one giant row of red/corals, but I split it into two down the middle.

From left to right: Kara (Classics), Sunset Sneaks (Peach Side Babe, Summer 2015), I Brake for Colour (Road Trip, Spring 2015), Some Hearts (Carrie Underwood, Spring 2014), My Chihuahua Bites! (Mexico, Spring 2006), Dixie (Sunsets, Summer 2016), Fireball (Adrenaline Rush, Summer 2015), Alexis Ruby Empress (It’s a Girl Thing, Spring 2013), Tasmanian Devil Made Me Do It (Australia, Spring 2007), Fire on the Horizon

This was the orange-y end of the line. The closest stuff to Fire on the Horizon are Fireball, Alexis Ruby Empress, and Tasmanian Devil. Fireball and Alexis Ruby Empress have a lot of shimmer in them, their biggest departure from Fire on the Horizon. Tasmanian Devil though is pretty close. Tasmanian Devil is a lot more vibrant and saturated.
