Holiday 2017 Comparisons - Orly Penny Leather (Darlings of Defiance) - Part 1

I have no idea what color I thought Nadine was.

From left to right: Nadine (Neon Nights, July 2017), Earth Angel (Painted Desert Sephora Exclusive, Summer 2015), Kate (Classics), Rock n Royale (Street Regal, Autumn 2017), Rosemary (Spring to It, March 2017), Penny Leather, Mona (Sophisticates, Autumn 2017), Cassandra (Kisses, London, September 2015), That’s What Friends are Thor (Iceland, Autumn 2017), Elaine (Sophisticates, Autumn 2017)

The only thing that’s really close to Penny Leather is Rosemary – It’s lighter but they’re similar. Mona looks similar in the flash but it’s more red.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - Orly Faux Pearl (Darlings of Defiance) - Part 1

From left to right: Ainsley (Cozy in Love, February 2017), Mixtaupe (As If, Autumn 2017), Tatum (Naturel 3, Spring 2017), McKenna (Sophisticates, Autumn 2017), Throne-in’ Shade (Street Regal, Autumn 2017), Faux Pearl, Erin (Spa Essentials), Tip Toe Through the Tulips (Spring Reveries, Spring 2014), Glimmer, Earth Angel (Painted Desert Sephora Exclusive, Summer 2015)

Faux Pearl is a lot like Erin in concept, just not in execution. They’re both nude shimmers, but Erin is sheer and Faux Pearl is opaque, Erin has a warm base but silver shimmer and Faux Pearl has a cool base with gold shimmer. McKenna is also in the same neighborhood, but it’s all cool with silver shimmer.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - Deborah Lippmann Cheek to Cheek (Crystal Prism) - Part 1

From left to right: Erin (Spa Essentials), McKenna (Sophisticates, Autumn 2017), Cathy (Naturel 3, Spring 2017), Cheek to Cheek, Barking Up the Wrong Sequoia (California Dreaming, Summer 2017), Earth Angel (Painted Desert Sephora exclusive, Summer 2015), Blush-Worthy (Bridal 2017), Coming Up Roses (Bed of Roses, Spring 2017)

Erin is the only thing here comparable in finish – it’s the only other sheer nude with silver shimmer. It’s substantially warmer though. Cathy is closest in color but not in finish, it’s a straight up crème.

Holiday 2017 Comparisons - Deborah Lippmann Ain't Nobody's Business (Crystal Prism) - Part 1

From left to right: High Society (Rebel Debutante, Spring 2010), Earth Angel (Painted Desert Sephora exclusive, Summer 2015), Joni (Sophisticates, Autumn 2017), The Look of Love (Bed of Roses, Spring 2017), Berlin There Done That (Germany, Autumn 2012), Ain’t Nobody’s Business, That’s What Friends Are Thor (Iceland, Autumn 2017), Elaine (Sophisticates, Autumn 2017), Shh… It’s Top Secret! (Washington DC, Autumn 2016)

The only thing here that’s close to Ain’t Nobody’s Business is Berlin There Done That, which is just a bit lighter. The stuff on the right is too dark, Joni is too purple, High Society is too light, Earth Angel has gold shimmer and is warmer, and The Look of Love is too pink.

Spring 2017 Comparisons - Deborah Lippmann The Look of Love & Lay Lady Lay (Bed of Roses)

From left to right: Dress Me Up (Colours from the Capitol/Hunger Games, Spring 2012), The Look of Love, Brigitte (Naturel, Spring 2014), Earth Angel (Painted Desert Sephora Exclusive, Summer 2015), Madeline (Naturel Deux, Autumn 2014), Odette (Naturel, Spring 2014), Lay Lady Lay, Uptown Girl (Rebel Debutante, Spring 2010), Let’s Stay Together (Originally from Recipe for Love mini set, Holiday 2014, here a Nordstrom Exclusive, Spring 2015). Bottom, Pink Chocolate (Classics)

The Look of Love is close to Dress Me Up and Brigitte. It’s in between them in terms of pinkness. Earth Angel is also pretty close, but it has a gold shimmer running through it. Lay Lady Lay is a little darker than Odette and a little lighter than Uptown Girl and Let’s Stay Together.
