Summer 2017 Comparisons - China Glaze Flame-boyant (Summer Reign)

Other mattes and neons:

From left to right: Off the Wall (Off the Wall, Neons/Summer 2016), Fireball (Adrenaline Rush, Summer 2015), Flame-boyant, Cherry On Top (Kandee Johnson Vintage Matte, Spring 2017), Amal (Matte Velvet Holiday 2015), Marina (Sun Crush, May 2017)

The only other polish I have here that doesn’t have any shimmer in it is Off the Wall, but it’s infinitely pinker. Marina is much too dark, and Amal is also darker and a more rich color. Fireball and Cherry On Top are pretty close in color, they just have shimmer, blue/purple for Fireball and gold for Cherry on Top. If you missed out on Cherry on Top this spring though, I’d recommend Flame-boyant.

Crèmes:

From left to right: Revolution (Operation: Colour, Autumn 2008), Demetria (Island Fun, Summer 2015), America (La-Di-Da, Summer 2009), Flame-boyant, Hey Sailor (Anchors Away, Spring 2011)

America is pretty close to Flame-boyant without the neon qualities (ironically enough, America was one of only two non-neons in an otherwise all neon collection.)

Summer 2017 Comparisons - Deborah Lippmann Fire on the Horizon (Sunrise Sunset) - Part 2

Stay tuned for more in depth comparisons for Flame-boyant!

From left to right: Fire on the Horizon, Demetria (Island Fun, Summer 2015), Revolution (Operation: Colour, Autumn 2008), Myriam (Riviera, March 2014), Lee (Set Sail, May 2015), Meghan (Modern Smolder, February 2016), Haley (Classics), America (La-Di-Da, Summer 2009), Flame-boyant (Summer Reign, Summer 2017), Dita (La-Di-Da, Summer 2009)

Wow, Dita is way too cool, I forgot why I even thought to compare it to Fire on the Horizon! Otherwise this lot is much more close to Fire on the Horizon. The new Flame-boyant and Revolution are a lot darker. Myriam is close in hue but it’s a jelly finish. Lee is more cool toned and Meghan is darker and more brown toned. Haley and America are both more saturated, and Haley is a jelly. By far the closest thing I have to Fire on the Horizon is Demetria. It’s a touch cooler toned but they’re oh so very close.
