Autumn 2017 Comparisons - Essie Saved by the Belle (As If) - Part 2

From left to right: Fresh Prince-ss (Rebel, Autumn 2016), Something Sweet (Up & Away, Spring 2010), Mod About You (Brighter By the Dozen, Summer 2006), Candy Girl (Sweets For My Sweet, Spring 2016), Saved by the Belle, Pink-ing of You (Classics), Laurel (Petals, Spring 2016), Delhi Dance (Going Guru, Resort 2016), Need a Vacation (Spring 2006), Castaway (Summertime, Summer 2004), Shelby (Beach, Summer 2012), Eden (Delight, Spring 2015), Dance Baby (Electropop, Spring 2012), Madison Ave-Hue (Madison Ave-Hue, Spring 2013)

Here’s a massive row of pinks for you! Actually, nothing in this row is exactly like Saved by the Belle. It’s the coolest thing here, except for Candy Girl which is way lighter. Fresh Prince-ss, Something Sweet, Mod About You and Pink-ing of You are also in the same family. The stuff on the right is way off.

Summer 2017 Comparisons - Essie Baguette Me Not (S'il Vous Play)

From left to right: Need a Vacation (Spring 2006), Uptown Girl (Rebel Debutante, Spring 2010), Something Sweet (Up & Away, Spring 2010), Wanderlust (Road Trip, Spring 2015), As Seen on TV (La La Land, Spring 2017), Baguette Me Not, I’m Gown for Anything! (Alice Through the Looking Glass, Summer 2016), Heather (Bouquet, Spring 2006), To Buy or Not to Buy (Navigate Her, Spring 2012), Megan (Feel, Winter 2011/12), Abby (Charming, Spring 2017), Afternoon Delight (Afternoon Delight Sephora Exclusive, Spring 2016)

Since Baguette Me Not has a pink undertone, I decided to throw in a real pink for comparison, but, it’s obviously not close. I also was thinking Uptown Girl was a lot lighter than it was, I’m very wrong. Afternoon Delight is also much darker. Something Sweet and Wanderlust, while both in the same boat, don’t have that much purple in them. Likewise Abby doesn’t have enough pink in it. Megan is also not as pink and dustier. To Buy or Not to Buy has some subtle pink and blue glitter in there, but otherwise it’s quite close to Heather and Gown for Anything. I think if you mixed As Seen on TV and Gown For Anything/Heather/To Buy, you’d get something like Baguette Me Not. As Seen on TV is darker and Gown For Anything/Heather/To Buy are lighter.

Spring 2017 Comparisons - Zoya Jordan (Charming)

From left to right: Candy Girl (Sweets for My Sweet, Spring 2016), Fresh Prince-ss (Rebel, Autumn 2016), Something Sweet (Up & Away, Spring 2010), Mod About You (Brighter by the Dozen, Summer 2006), Feathered Hair Out to There (Poptastic Pastel Neons, Spring 2015), Jordan, Pinking of You (Classics), Laurel (Petals, Spring 2016), Castaway (Summertime, Summer 2004), Need a Vacation (Spring 2006), Delhi Dance (Going Guru, Resort/Spring 2016), Shelby (Beach, Summer 2012)

Jordan errs towards the left end of this spectrum, everything to the right are much darker. Candy Girl is much lighter and paler, as are Fresh Princess and Something Sweet. Jordan is closest to Feathered Hair and Mod About You, but Feathered Hair is a neon, just of a similar color, and Mod About You is lighter and less cool toned.

Spring 2017 Comparisons - China Glaze Belle of a Baller (Pastels)

From left to right: Something Sweet (Up & Away, Spring 2016), Laurel (Petals, Spring 2016), Groove is in the Heart (Romantic Rapture, Spring 2013), Castaway (Summertime, Summer 2004), Need a Vacation (Spring 2006), Delhi Dance (Going Guru, Resort/Spring 2016), Belle of a Baller, Beauty School Dropout (Happy Days, Summer 2016), Dance Baby (Electropop, Spring 2012), Eden (Delight, Spring 2015), Madison Ave-Hue (Madison Ave-Hue, Spring 2013)

Belle of a Baller is surprisingly unique; the only things I have that are pretty close are Beauty School Dropout and Dance Baby, but Beauty School Dropout is dustier and Dance Baby is darker.

China Glaze Rebel Comparisons - Fresh Prince-ss

From left to right: Urban Jungle (Colors in the Wild, Summer 2014), Luella (Midsummer Light, June 2016), Rue (Naturel, Spring 2014), Piper (Classics), Sweet Memories (Honeymoon Soft Shades, Spring 2005), Fresh Prince-ss, Something Sweet (Up & Away, Spring 2010), Mod About You (Brighter by the Dozen, Summer 2006), Candy Girl (Sweets for my Sweet, Spring 2016), Pink-ing of You (Classics, here from the 2013 Pink of Hearts), Laurel (Petals, Spring 2016), Reese (Collection unknown, 2013), Castaway (Summertime, Summer 2004)

Here’s a nice line from light to dark. The closest are Sweet Memories, Something Sweet, and Mod About You. Fresh Prince-ss is kind of a tutu pink.
