Julep Lineup - Francine, Geena, Gemini, Genevieve

  • Francine (Boho Glam - Rainbow Bright, May 2016) is a summery green sparkly. I’m not crazy about this one although it is rather nice.
  • Geena (Rose Quartz for January, January 2015) is a sheer pink glitter topper. I really like this as a topper over white or pink but it’s super sheer on its own.
  • Gemini (Zodiac, June 2016) is a surprisingly flattering green metallic. This might be my favorite of the Zodiacs!
  • Genevieve (Wonder Maven - Wonder Maven, September 2016) is a russet-y red metallic. This is interesting, I don’t see a lot of metallics this color.

Autumn 2017 Comparisons - Zoya Gal (Sophisticates) - Part 2

From left to right: Dillon (Awaken, Spring 2014), Twinkle, Twinkle Little Starfish (Seas & Greetings, Holiday 2016), Francine (Rainbow Bright, May 2016), Visions of Georgia Green (Coca Cola Icons of Happiness, Summer 2015), My Gecko Does Tricks (Hawaii, Spring 2015), Betsey (Peridot for August, August 2015), Gemini (Zodiac, June 2016), Irene (Utopia, Holiday 2007), Gone Glamping (The Great Outdoors, Autumn 2015), Rory (Sparkling Sights, Holiday 2016), Gal, Mind the Gap (All Aboard, Autumn 2014), Aggie (Flair, Autumn 2015), Leo (Zodiac, August 2016)

The stuff on the far left is way off but they’re in the same idea. With regards to other Zoyas, if you mixed Irene and Aggie you’d get Gal. Gone Glamping is similar but it’s a true duochrome, as are Leo and Aggie. I was surprised to see how close Gal and Rory were, Rory’s more glitzy and warmer but they’re really close. Mind the Gap is also really close, it’s warmer and less sparkly but they’re also super close.

Holiday 2016 Comparisons - China Glaze Twinkle Twinkle Little Starfish (Seas and Greetings)

From left to right: Francine (Rainbow Bright, May 2016), TTLS, Visions of Georgia Green (Coca Cola Icons of Happiness Summer 2015)

Now, Francine and Little Starfish are definitely made with the same idea in mind, but the differences between them are much more visible in person than in this picture. You see, Little Starfish has larger particles and a sheerer base, and Francine has smaller particles and a much more opaque base. You can use Little Starfish as a topper, not Francine. They’re close to the same color, so I’d say you don’t need them both; go with whichever you think you would use more, the topper or the opaque. Visions of Georgia Green is a similar color, but it’s kind of like a cross between Little Starfish and OPI Not Like the Movies, in that Georgia Green has a pink shift and little microglitters that shift from green to pink. You can definitely have them both.
