Spring 2018 Comparisons - Orly Metallic Haze (Pastel City)

From left to right: Silken Quartz (Velvet Dream, Autumn 2017), Tess (Nourish and Flourish, November 2017), Magical (Romantique, Spring 2009), Hermina (Classics), As Good As It Glitz (The Glam Finale, Holiday 2017), Beth (Sophisticates, Autumn 2017), Metallic Haze, Press * For Silver (Starlight, Holiday 2015), Voyeuristic Adventure (Secret Society, Holiday 2013), Cords (Retro Diva, Autumn 2009), Champagne Slushie (Darlings of Defiance, Holiday 2017)

I pulled out Orly’s two other similar recent releases on either side, but they aren’t close to Metallic Haze - Silken Quartz is way lighter and less metallic and Champagne Slushie is much darker. I was a bit surprised to see that out of everything I pulled out to compare the closest I had was Press * For Silver - I always thought of that as kind of a rose gold, but I suppose it’s been a long time since I’ve really looked at that one. It is darker and rosier than Metallic Haze though, but the finishes are really similar. Beth is also a bit darker and rosier as well, as is As Good As It Glitz. Voyeuristic Adventure is less rosy than Metallic Haze.

Other shades I pulled out to compare that didn’t make the photo cut - Julep Monique (a truer silver), Orly Front Page, OPI Cosmo-Not Tonight Honey, China Glaze Toast It Up, & Zoya Austine (far too warm and golden), Julep Wilma (rosier because it’s almost a beige/pink duochrome), Zoya Lauren (straight up pink in comparison)
