Julep Lineup - Cassandra, Cecile, Celine, Channon

  • Cassandra (Bombshell - Kisses, London, September 2015) is a chic dark red creme. This isn’t very unique but it is incredibly nice.
  • Cecile (It Girl - Lighten Up, March 2016) is called a “holographic jelly” but it isn’t sheer at all. This is two coats and I can barely see nail line… under all that holo! What a pretty teal too.
  • Celine (CWAT - Celestial Cheer, Holiday 2016) is also a really nice holo, although it’s less in your face than Cecile. It’s subtler but visible, and it’s a really pretty dark purple too.
  • Channon (It Girl - Sun Crush, May 2017) is a really pretty white matte metallic. The fact that this doesn’t have a horrible formula is a godsend. This is one of the best white polishes I’ve ever used. It makes me think of a marshmallow!

Julep Lineup - Capricorn, Carol, Carolyn, Carrie Ann

  • Capricorn (Zodiac, December 2016) is an amazing green metallic. The silver glitter is subtle but gorgeous. This is one really opaque coat!
  • Carol (Boho Glam - Rock Candy, Spring 2013) is a super sheer orange. I imagine this is similar to Zoya’s Naked Manicure that’s just a sheer bit of color. It’s nice for what it is.
  • Carolyn (Boho Glam - Set Sail, May 2015) is a coral creme. Eh, it’s fine, I don’t have any strong feelings for it.
  • Carrie Ann (CWAT - Light and Shadow, November 2016) is one of Julep’s most disappointing polishes. The holo barely shows up at all, and every time I do a full manicure of this it gets super bubbly. I’m really bummed about this one.

Julep Lineup - Brenda, Camille, Cancer, Candace

  • Brenda (CWAT - Naughty or Nice, December 2013) is a sheer white/gold duochrome topper. This is a really versatile topper and looks good over anything!
  • Camille (CWAT - Spring Mystery Box, March 2013) is an iridescent topper. This is a bit like Aretha but it’s in a clear base and a lot less blue. This also looks good over anything!
  • Cancer (Zodiac, July 2016) is a pretty pink seashell. Fair warning that this one is really bubbly, but it is pretty!
  • Candace (It Girl - Cityscape, September 2013) is a polish I really wish they still made. This is so awesome and fall. It’s a brown base with gold shimmer. Makes me think a little of Lippmann’s All Night Long.

Julep Lineup - Beverly, Bonnie, Brandilyn, Brandy

  • Beverly (Bombshell - Poolside, July 2014) is a pretty purple creme. This is a little bit patchy at two coats, although it’s still quite lovely.
  • Bonnie (Bombshell - Friendsgiving, November 2014) is a delightful sandy gold glitter. This one is really opaque! I love this one!
  • Brandilyn (It Girl - Stroke of Midnight, December 2016) is a blue glitter with a strong pink flash. This one is incredibly unique and fabulous!
  • Brandy (It Girl - Night Lights, October 2015) is a really complex polish - It’s a gray holo but it also has blue glitter in it. It’s nice because the blue glitter really shows up best when the holo doesn’t, so it looks awesome at any angle!

Julep Lineup - Belle, Bernadette, Betsey, Betty

  • Belle (Bombshell - Future Fresh, January 2017) is a sheer pink metallic. Although this is a great topper (one coat is super sheer) at two coats this is opaque enough to call a manicure. If you’re looking for something more opaque like Belle though, I suggest Peyton.
  • Bernadette (Black Onyx for February, February 2015) is an amazing black with silver glitter. Really opaque and not at all bumpy. Fabulous and there is a subtle silver shimmer in the background too that make this black very wearable.
  • Betsey (Peridot for August, August 2015) is one of my all time favorites. It’s very wearable for an unusual green and there’s a neat green/brown duochrome in there. And it’s not at all sheer!
  • Betty (Garnet for January, January 2014) is a rich purple toned red glitter. This is a little chunky and it does dry a little matte so I’d wear it with top coat. Absolutely gorgeous.

Julep Lineup - Ayonna, Beatrice, Becca, Becky

  • Ayonna (Boho Glam - Hatch Me If You Can, April 2017) is a blue holographic. This is quite strong but the glitter does just look silver from certain lights, which is nevertheless quite pretty.
  • Beatrice (It Girl - All Night Long, December 2015) is a neat gold glitzy metallic. This is a nice two coats. Very holiday!
  • Becca (Boho Glam - Set Sail, May 2015) is a teal with a blue shimmer. Very summery and nice!
  • Becky (It Girl - Afterglow, February 2015) is a matte pink/green/gray metallic duochrome. It’s basically For the Twill of It or Peace & Love & OPI matte. Pretty!

Julep Lineup - Ari, Ariel, Arielle, Aries

  • Ari (It Girl - Shine On, April 2016) is a “Vivid Sheer” - Julep’s answer to Essie’s Silk Watercolor or OPI’s Color Paints. Even though this is meant to be sheer, I’d say that at three coats this would be completely opaque.
  • Ariel (Bombshell - Trancing in the Moonlight, October 2017) is a black, blue and purple glitter that’s not quite opaque in two coats. This has a real nice sparkle to it!
  • Arielle (CWAT - New York Never Sleeps, October 2015) is a really pretty grayed violet creme. This is a bit like OPI Suzi and the Arctic Fox. It’s fabulous!
  • Aries (Zodiac 2016) is a magnificent red sparkler. So beautiful. Luscious.

Julep Lineup - Annalise, Anya, Aquarius, Aretha

  • Annalise (Boho Glam - Into the Sea, July 2016) is probably the most apparent of what they call the “ghost shimmers” - it’s a lavender with a fine but very apparent shimmer, even in artificial lighting. This is a really great polish!
  • Anya (Boho Glam - New York Never Sleeps, October 2015) is a deep forest green creme. This is really opaque, if I’d have used a thicker coat I could have only used one.
  • Aquarius (Zodiac 2016) is a fun duochrome that goes between aqua blue and lilac, but fair warning that this one really loves to bubble! I love this manicure I did here though!
  • The beauty of Aretha (Aquamarine for March, March 2014) might never show up on camera, but it’s an iridescent blue and orange glitter topper. It’s so fabulous!

Julep Lineup - Andrea, Angelique, Angie, Annabelle

  • Andrea (Bombshell - Glitterati, December 2013) is an awesome gold glitter. This is opaque in two coats! I love this! It’s not that rough to the touch and it doesn’t dry matte.
  • Angelique (Boho Glam - Sparkling Sights, Holiday 2016) is a green glitter topper with large holo sequins. I wore this over OPI’s Suzi Without a Paddle and it was a fabulous combo!
  • Angie (Boho Glam - Paradise, April 2015) is one of Julep’s strongest holos. I wish they still made this one! It’s amazingly strong and opaque in two coats.
  • Annabelle (CWAT - Confetti Delights, April 2016) is a really fun pink and purple hex glitter topper. I wore this with Alexa and that was another fabulous combo!

Julep Lineup - Alison, Alysha, Alyssa, Amanda

  • Alison (CWAT - Kisses, London, September 2015) is a beige “Soft Focus” polish. Like Ali I’d wear it with three coats. It’s a pretty finish though.
  • Alysha (Wonder Maven - Endless Summer, August 2016) is one crazy holo. The holo on this one is really strong, even against the dark purple back color. One for indie polish lovers!
  • Alyssa (It Girl - Drenched, July 2015) is one of my all time favorite Juleps. I just love this color and the formula is amazing.
  • Amanda (CWAT - Set Sail, May 2015) is a really sweet hot pink creme. Another really pretty color!

Julep Lineup: Alexa, Alexandria, Ali, Alicia

  • Alexa (CWAT - Drenched, July 2015) is a really unique purple creme with a strong lavender tone. This one is really pretty and the formula is fantastic.
  • Alexandria (Bombshell - Sun Crush, May 2015) is a coral metallic matte. This color is absolutely fabulous, so summery! Though I would probably wear three coats if I wore this out of the house.
  • Ali (Boho Glam - Pop!, March 2015) is a mint green “Soft Focus” polish, a satin finish. This is an okay polish, it’s a pretty color but it definitely needs three coats, and I’d like it a little better if it was a true matte.
  • Alicia (Boho Glam - Express Yourself, March 2012) is a peach creme. This is pretty standard, a nice creme with a good formula.

Julep Lineup: Acacia, Adeline, Adrian, Ainsley

All two coats.

  • Acacia (Wonder Maven - Wonder Maven, September 2016) is a teal metallic. It shows some brush-strokes but it’s not horribly bad. It’s a really pretty color; most other teal metallics (like China Glaze’s Don’t Teal My Vibe) are a lot more green than this.
  • Adeline (It Girl - Endless Summer, August 2016) is a pink with fine gold glitter. The glitter shows up a lot better in real life than in the picture, although it’s not in your face. This one’s really pretty!
  • Adrian (Boho Glam - Midsummer Light, June 2016) is a yellow creme. This is actually quite nice, it could probably use a third coat but it’s formula was a dream for a yellow.
  • Ainsley (Classic with a Twist - Cozy in Love, February 2017) is a dove gray with gold shimmer. The gold shimmer shows up a little better in real life than in the pictures, but again it’s not super blingy. This is a really interesting neutral, but between the cool base and the gold shimmer I don’t really know who this is made for.
